She's Ready To Travel, But What Is Her Name?

She's all dressed up and ready to go, but first she needs a name.....

I saw this cute little figurine at the store the other day and it inspired me to make a fun blogging event out of her. She's got her umbrella and she looks like she is ready to travel, but first things first, we need to name her.

Submit your name ideas in the comment section of this post and after a week I will pick my favorite name. This will be solely my opinion and not scientific at all so if you do not have a sense of humor, please do not enter LOL.

The person who I decide came up with the best name will receive either a 10 dollar gift card to amazon, or 10 dollars to your Paypal to use however you want.

So leave your suggestions in the comment section of this post, and tell your blogger buddies so that they can play too.

This will be the start if her adventure, once she has a name I will pick one of my blogger buddies to send her to ( and I will put a little gift in with her for the person to keep). Once the person gets her, they have to take at least one picture of her ( if they have a camera, if nto just tell us a story) and tell me what they "did" during her visit. They can post the adventure on their blog, but have to let me know too so I can post updates on my blog.

The first person I send the figurine to then has to pick someone else to send her to. I would suggest contacting the person first to make sure that they want to play. The person you send it to has to be willing to then send it to another friend and pay the postage themselves. This will probably only cost a few bucks, but they have to pay it themselves. Explain to them that they have to take at least one picture if they can, and tell the tale of their visit and then send her on.

Each person that gets her has to email the person that sent it to them ( or contact them on their blog etc) and I have to be updated about each location. I would like to get her back home by the end of July 2009. Once she is home I will review all her visits and there will be a vote. My blog readers will get to choose one favorite visit story and I will choose my favorite. The winners of these will each get a 15.00 Amazon gift certificate or 15.00 to their Paypal.

Like I said this is purely for fun, and there is no cost to join in the adventure, other than postage if you choose to receive and then mail the figurine. Before I send her out the first time I will type up a set of instructions that you can copy from my blog and print out to send with the figurine so that recipient will know what to do.

I hope you all will join in the fun..tell your friends...even if the do not currently blog, maybe you can even help them start a blog for the fun of it who knows. Let's see how many people can get involved and see how many places she can travel to before the end of July.
